Welcome to The Road of A Small Town Girl!
Growing up I wanted to be a lot of things, and in those “wants” I forgot to learn all the things that I needed, like learning how to take care of my home by myself. Not for a lack of trying to teach me on my mom’s part, but just for a lack of wanting to learn. Now I’m 23, soon to be married, and have no idea what I’m doing beside the ultimate basics: washing dishes, how to fill a washing machine, and and how to turn on a vacuum cleaner.
For me, that isn’t good enough anymore. So I’m starting over, and trying to learn all of the skills my mother had attempted to teach me, and maybe some extra things along the way.
So Mom, I’m sorry for not listening to you sooner.
